Main Responsibilities
IT Support and Assistance (40%)
Provide technical support to employees, ensuring swift resolution of IT issues and maintaining a high level of user satisfaction. This includes troubleshooting hardware and software problems, onboarding new employees with IT equipment, and managing IT-requests.
Hardware and System Software Management (30%)
Oversee the procurement, setup, and maintenance of all hardware (laptops, servers, network equipment, printers, etc.) and system software. Ensure systems are secure, updated, and optimized for performance.
Tool Integration and Customization (20%)
Develop, configure, and maintain interfaces between internal tools to ensure smooth IT automations. Collaborate with teams to understand their requirements and adapt tools to meet business needs effectively.
Infrastructure Monitoring and Improvement (10%)
Monitor NGDATA’s IT infrastructure, proactively identifying areas for improvement, efficiency gains, and potential risks. Implement solutions to enhance system reliability and scalability.
Occasional Opportunities
Project-Based IT Initiatives
Participate in or lead specific IT projects, such as office relocations, system upgrades, or the implementation of new tools and systems.
Security and Compliance Support
Assist in maintaining IT security measures and ensuring compliance with company policies, data protection regulations, and external standards.
Training and Knowledge Sharing
Provide occasional training or guidance to employees on IT tools and best practices to improve their efficiency and reduce recurring support issues.
Vendor and Partner Coordination
Liaise with external IT vendors and service providers to troubleshoot issues or arrange for repairs and replacements.
Backup Support for IT Colleagues
Step in to support other IT personnel during peak periods, absences, or emergencies, ensuring continuity of service.

Your Profile
Background / Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft Certified, Azure Fundamentals, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, ITIL Foundation,...) are a plus.
- Solid understanding of hardware and system software, including Linux, windows, and macOS environments.
- Basic knowledge of networking principles, cloud computing (AWS) and security practices.
- Relevant internship, parttime job, or personal IT projects demonstrating technical aptitude is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in operating systems or a strong willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with basic hardware troubleshooting (e.g. laptops ,printers, and networking equipment).
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS is a plus.
- Foundational networking knowledge (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS or VPNs) or coursework in IT concepts.
- Exposure to scripting or programming (e.g. Powershell, Python or Bash) is an advantage but not mandatory.

- Learnability: eagerness and capability to learn and explore on the job.
- Communication: Excellent skills to articulate technical concepts to clients and internal teams effectively.

- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategies for efficient SaaS implementation and cloud optimization.
- English: Fluent (both written and oral).
- Dutch is an asset, but not mandatory.
