- Career Development & Coaching: Manage performance reviews, individual professional growth plans, career progression tracking, and general professional coaching.
- Collaboration with Technical Leads: Partner closely with internal Engineering Leads, who provide technical mentorship and day-to-day architectural guidance, to synthesize holistic performance evaluations.
- Agile Orchestration: Facilitate daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives, safeguarding healthy Agile/Kanban practices.
- Workflow Engineering: Own the operational configuration and integrity of Jira. Monitor key delivery metrics (e.g., cycle times, throughput) to identify and resolve systemic bottlenecks.
- Documentation Quality: Oversee processes to ensure design documents, system APIs, and live code implementations remain synchronized, preventing documentation drift and protecting QA test coverage.
- Resource Forecasting: Lead resource capacity planning and velocity forecasting using Jira and timesheet management tooling.
- Efficiency Tracking: Standardize capacity telemetry to track and report on process optimizations, delivery throughput improvements, and team efficiency gains.
- Developer Experience (DX): Continually seek opportunities to improve the daily developer workflow, removing administrative friction and operational hurdles.
- Productivity Coaching: Foster a culture of continuous learning. Coach and enable the team on modern software engineering best practices, including the adoption of advanced developer productivity tools and AI-assisted development practices.
- Onboarding Excellence: Standardize and optimize the engineering onboarding process to accelerate time-to-productivity for new hires joining our established platform codebase.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Dependency Management: Manage and align technical dependencies across Product Management, Engineering, and SaaS Operations teams.
- Intake Interface: Participate in regular delivery review gates to evaluate incoming technical requirements, ensuring delivery estimates are grounded in realistic capacity data.
Background / Education Requirements
- Min. Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or related field, or equivalent by experience.
- Technical Background (Preferred): A background as a software engineer or QA professional is highly valued, enabling deep empathy with the technical workflow and team challenges.
Experience / Skill Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Delivery Manager, Engineering Manager, Scrum Master, or Agile Project Manager in a product-led software development environment.
- Agile Expertise: Advanced command of Agile and Kanban methodologies, with extensive experience optimizing team workflows and configuring project management tools (Jira).
- Developer Empathy & DX: Deep passion for developer experience and workflow efficiency, with active engagement in modern development trends and developer productivity tools (including AI-assisted coding methodologies).
Personal Competences
- Analytical Thinking: Strong data-driven approach to capacity planning, resource forecasting, and analyzing timesheet telemetry to track efficiency and performance metrics.
- Communication: Proven ability to manage cross-functional alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders by communicating effectively and proactively.
Language Requirements
- Fluency in English is a requirement, additional fluency in Dutch is a bonus.
What We Offer
- Global, tight-knit team: Work alongside talented colleagues located around the world—people who pull their weight, support one another, and genuinely care about doing great work.
